What is Title I?
Title I is a federally funded program which addresses both remediation skills and acceleration of skill acquisition. This program is designed to provide learning opportunities for students needing extra assistance to be successful in the classroom. Title I at Bangert is focused on early intervention in grades K-2 and intervention in grades 3-5. Students are served in small groups based on strengths and weaknesses determined during universal screening at the beginning of the school year.
Parent Opportunities
AH Bangert has a Parent Resource Center located in the Media Center. It is open daily for parents to visit and check out materials to be used at home with their children. Materials include: educational games for math and reading, computer games, cds for math, books on CD, brochures, flashcards, dictionaries (english/spanish) and other materials to help at home. We are always open to suggestions for materials that parents think would be helpful to have available-just let us know!
We also offer several parent training sessions during the school year. Dates and times will be announced and sent home with your child.
